Universal goes Mid-Century with Cabana Bay

As much as I would love to holiday in Palm Springs, if I ever make it back to the US, I must say that this new resort at Universal Orlando looks stunning - even if it's a little cheesy.

The concept drawings and the completed interiors are virtually identical, which is nice.

I think this one is a virtual image as well though.

I did love those nested table though!

And you get to go to the theme park and Harry Potter World, as well as two pools with sand beaches, a massive water slide, a bowling alley and 'the lazy river.'

Think the kids might like it better than Palm Springs!  The Resort opens early next year (I'll have to save more). You can read more about the resort and see more photos at their website, here.

Even if you can't make it, the resort rooms show some nice decorating ideas easily achievable with modern materials and furnishings. I love aqua and orange together - so upbeat!
