My week in a nutshell

This week I have been:

♥ Drinking organic, preservative free red wine, and breathing freely.
♥ Trying out some more vintage recipes.
♥ Painting the kitchen cupboards and furniture.
♥ Meeting veteran Henry Tranter at the ' Rats of Tobruk' ceremony. 

♥ Reading "The Mysterious Affair at Styles" by Agatha Christie (her first novel).
♥ Walking on the beach and making sandcastles with all the family.
♥ Watching Upper Middle Bogan on ABC and laughing a lot.

I hope all the father's (and father figures) out there had a great Father's day.  This is what my dad got for father's day - 

Just a little cute. For some reason the kid's all want to go and visit the grandparents now.  Shame they live two states away!

♥ Bike riding with the kids - yes I remembered how!
♥ Drinking a vodka martini with my husband (half vodka, half dry vermouth, twist of lemon).
♥ Eating home made meat pies (recipe soon).
♥ Listing lots of new vintage items on my Etsy store.
♥ Planning my mini kitchen renovation and buying floor tiles.
♥ Playing Backgammon with the family.
♥ Reading "Murder on the Orient Express" by Agatha Christie).
♥ Sitting around the fire-pit with my visiting (no longer living with us) son and his girlfriend.
♥ Watching Dr Who repeats (love David Tennant) and new to Australia Ripper Street.

This week I have been:

♥ Walking the kids around the Melbourne - City, Parks, Gardens, Museums 
♥ (Looking for my son when he got lost in the Botanical Gardens) 
♥ Planning to get a i-pad with wi-fi when next I travel
♥ Sleeping until 8.30 every morning, hoping it would get warmer
♥ Drinking hot chocolate at the Lindt shop at Southgate, Melbourne 
♥ Eating jam do-nuts at the Victoria Market 
♥ Celebrating my parents 70th birthdays and catching up with family 
♥ Watching the kids play with their cousins, who they haven't seen in years
♥ Sitting around a fire-pit talking, drinking red wine and watching the stars
♥ Un-Packing and re-packing, travelling from Melbourne to country Victoria to Melbourne     to home
♥ nominated for a blog award (thankyou!!)

♥ Planning what to do with the lawn now the dog has dug it up
♥ Collecting an egg a day from each of my three black hens
♥ Having drinks at Sorbello's to welcome a new Judge to our town
♥ Buying neon for the kids to wear to the school disco (Ahh the 80s...)
♥ Watching 'Games of Thrones' my new TV obsession
♥ Packing for our family trip to Melbourne
