OK, so how cute is this jumper?

Cherries and 1942 – my two great loves!  It is available to buy on Etsy, with resizing instructions also available at By gum by golly.  If only I could knit properly……

Meanwhile my decorating thoughts continue.  Why not sew some slip covers for the lounge?

To the news………on this day in 1942 the last German air-raid on Liverpool destroyed the home of William Patrick Hitler, Adolf Hitler's nephew. After his house was destroyed, William Hitler went to the USA and joined up to fight against his uncle. He served in the U.S. Navy as a Pharmacist's Mate until he was discharged in 1947. Also General Motors announced that they had nearly $4 billion worth of war contracts (no mean feat), and closer to home heavy Japanese reinforcements were brought to the front on Luzon Island (Philippines), part of their major offensive .

Have a lovely vintage day, Deb xxx
