Thursday Threads, 1940s patterns for summer

I have not sewn anything for a few weeks – I think I am still recovering from Self Stitched September.
I have plans though.
When I can find the right pattern (in the right size), and the right fabric!
Here are a few patterns I have found on etsy that I am considering for summer.
40s pattern 1
Simple A-line skirt and nice cap sleeves
pattern 2
Gored skirt and interesting collar
pattern3
Not sure about the bow, but it’s nice in a plain colour
pattern4
This is nice, detachable collar and cuffs would be handy for a change too. More 50s perhaps, with the gloves, but Shirtwaist Dresses are always great.
If you have more ideas, let me know!

  1. These are so cute. The top set is my favorite! I wish I knew how to sew!

  2. I am still learning Marty - it's never too late! I love that top set too.
