  1. The house looks lovely, especially a you were trying to present it with puppies and children.
I'd really like to hear your take on Mackay. My bf is working over their and wants me to move from NZ to MacKay. Any thoughts?

    1. Mackay has grown on me - coming from Victoria it took a while, but we had spent 10 years in country vic before coming here (rather than moving straight from Melbourne) so it wasn't too bad. We now have a botanical garden, art gallery, football stadium and flights straight to Melbourne.
the beaches are lovely, although there are stingers from Nov to April so you shouldn't really swim then. It is always humid. Even now in winter as we have had lots of rain, which is unusual here for June/July. While it's great for your skin it's not great for your hair - I am about to get mine chopped off again! Mind you the winters are mild - I am wearing jeans and a shirt today with heels for work, and will change into gumboots when I go out to the paddock this afternoon. I won't need a jumper till about 6pm. What else? Rents are dear ($350 to $950 week) - better to buy. Brisbane is a 1 1/2 hour flight, Townsville or Rockhampton a 4 hour drive. We do have a Myer store now!!!and the op shops are great, and cheap. Come for a visit - we have a spare bed! Deb xxx
