A blogging journey

My blog is changing. With me.  I hope you'll join me on the journey.

I love a variety of vintage styles. And I love history.

I don't dress vintage. But I dress vintage inspired. Sometimes 30s, sometimes 60s, sometimes 80s.

My car's not vintage. But I wish it was. I did drive a 1971 beetle once.

I love old music, old books and old films.

I was born in the 60s, so I am vintage myself.  So is my house.  It's not a real style, but it is a mid-century home.  So that's where, finally, I have decided to focus my energy. On mid-century vintage - design, fashion, architecture - everything.  It's taken a while to learn that I do love it.

Funny how things we grow up with we can sometimes fight against.

So there will be some changes to my blog. The style, the colours, and perhaps the name.

I am also working on a website.  'Mid-century modern home style'. My new baby.

And seeing I am now fully recovered from my illness an am back at work full time, it will be a slow process - turtle (vs hare) style.

I hope you'll stay with me.

Deb xx

PS
And to the lovely ladies who have nominated me for a blog award - I will get to the questions soon, and thankyou!!

  1. Can't wait to see what changes you have in store. I have been thinking about changing some things on mine as well. I think its like rooms in my house, I get bored with the way they are and want to move the whole house around every so often. My husband groans every time I say "I've been thinking". lol

    1. Funny you should say that. My husband just got back from two days in Brisbane to find that I had re-arranged the kitchen (yes it is possible!) His comment? "at least the lounge is in the same place".
